Herman and Susan emigrated to New Zealand in 1981 from the Netherlands and after living 10 years in Dunedin City moved
to Broad Bay on the beautiful Otago Peninsula.
Two years later Chy-an-Dowr opened as a B&B and
has now hosted guests from all over the world
